Non 3G NGP Downgraded ?

Sony's entry level Next Generation Portable has received a bit of a downgrade, if an 01net report it to be believed.

According to the site, Sony has halved the RAM of the version without 3G connectivity from 512MB to 256MB. The 16GB of internal flash memory originally said to be included has been dropped in favor of external storage, as well.

Sony is reportedly downgrading the hardware in order to compete with pricing of the Nintendo 3DS, which sells for an MSRP of $249.99.
