"Been playing this for a while and my god, everything about this game is amusing and/or adorable as *bleep*.

The premise is that you play Luka, a generic JRPG lead chosen by god in order to defeat the Demon Lord. On the day of your coming of age ceremony, you end up helping a tsundere Lamia who falls from the sky. And then your god abandons you during the ceremony. Despite that, you decide to go off on an adventure anyway to defeat the Demon Lord and Alice, the Lamia from earlier, tags along because she wants to go on a food tour with you and to make snarky comments.

Battles play a bit like the Lightning Warrior Raidy series where fights are typically turn based one-on-one fights with female enemies. Only except that everything is a boss battle, so you're encouraged to lose if you know what I mean."

basically if you win, the story go on, but if you lose, it is gameover + a raep scene... yes YOU ARE RAEPED by MONSTAAAHH!!!

if you have some brain and patience, you can win it easily... there's enough hint in the game... and the TL are good, so it's not a big deal...

ah.. another great art it seems...
well, I give 90 out of 100 for this one...
and here comes a short review~

the negative point is just the stupid interface... typical cube/sphere/cuffs interface, I don't like it... aside from that, the story's great... the art are amazing... but it seems there are too many HCG's ... well, I DO want more CG's but not HCG... forcing three h-scenes into every heroine is the non-creative side of this VN..
Sound? seiyuu are doin good but music need improvements...

Summary

The plot of Natsu no Ame revolves around Sousuke, a soccer loving idiot who spends his days practicing with his two friends, Takeda and Midori for the day when he is allowed to return to the soccer club he was forced to resign from. The story begins with Sousuke recalling a memory from his past where he pondered what qualifies as a first love, thinking about a young girl he teased almost to the point of tears as a child. Upon snapping back to the present Sousuke is made aware of a beautiful girl busy with her cellphone. After knocking her out of the way of on oncoming motorcycle he finds that he had also sent her cellphone into the river. Being the nice guy protagonist that he is Sousuke then goes into the river to find her cellphone, however when he gives up and she tries to help him out he ends up pulling her in as well. First impressions aside he then finds out she wanted to know where his school was as she had just transferred in. Undaunted by his earlier screwups Sousuke decides to be a man and instead takes her on a tour of the town before finally dropping her off at school. In the end it seems he managed a favorable impression afterall! Upon returning home he finds the very same girl in his home… where his mother informs him that she is his long lost half sister!

Description

In KnS you found something different, that is Detective Simulation system.
I won't explain the detail, in this game you will see "Investigation Mode".

Investigation Mode is a situation where you'll search and gather all of information, just move your "black pointer" and if the black turn to "red pointer"... then there's must be something. Caution, this is the essential part of game, you must investigate carefully....or just look for the walkthrough

The next thing is "Map Mode", in this mode you need to move from a place to another place, this will affect the story, though... so be careful...

The last is "Notebook", in notebook you'll see Character List, Evidence List, Investigation List, Map and Character Diagram... Nothing much to say... except this Notebook feature will help you to solve the mysteries.

Finally... not a review, but a summary for review...

This is Recommended for:
one who seek TRUE END when playing VN, like mistery and detective things, and LONG story

Description

Ten years ago in the town of Custard four young girls were appointed as disciples to old mage Ragithis. They were to be raised as mages and then to work as town's guardians. But after the ten years of training due to unknown reason girls rebelled against Ragithis and killed him. During the harsh magic battle a whole town were entombed in the underground and a barrier spell was put on town preventing everyone from going out.

This is when Rance appears with Sill on his side, and taking a job of defeating magician maidens and saving the town. But after some research he finds out that actual evil guy was Ragithis himself, who put four magical rings on four maidens. That rings are giving a great boost of magical power to it's bearers, but aslo able to steal magic power from virgin sorceresses and after collecting magic power of 40 maidens anyone could use these rings to obtain unlimited power. The leader of girls, Masou Shizuka, figured out Ragithis's plan and rebelled against him but it was too late - cursed rings could not be removed and the curse started to dive maidens crazy. Now they are sheltered in the labirinth beneath the town abducting young girls from the town and killing everyone who tried to go into the labirinth and stop them. It seems that the only way to release them from the curse of the rings is to steal a virginity from them, and the only man up to this job is Rance.
