[Anime Review] Utawarerumono (Download)

I've reviewed the visual novel version,
so now, i'm going to review the anime version...

Utawarerumono~the one being sung
Genres: action, adventure, comedy, drama, fantasy, mystery, romance, science fiction
Themes: dog girls, giant weapons, gods, gore, harem, military, religion, war
Objectionable content: Significant (bloody violence and/or swearing and/or nudity)

Plot Summary:
An injured man named Hakuoro is found unconscious in the forest by Eruruu, grand daughter of the local healer Tuskuru. He awakens to find a mask attached to his face and that he lacks any memories of his past. He quickly rises in importance because he is seen as a natural leader who helps those in need.
An injured, amnesiac man with a mysterious mask is found abandoned in the forest. After he is nurtured back to health, he is given the name Hakuoro. After saving the village from a wrathful deity, he adopts the role of the village's leader. Although wishing to live in peace, fate eventually forces him down the path of war and battle...
Hakuoro has lost his memory after succumbing to serious injuries; but thanks to a elderly woman and her granddaughter Eruruu, he is nursed back to health. His face is covered by a strange irremovable mask and he occasionally sees beastly visions. Eruruu now cares for him as he becomes accustomed to the village and its inhabitants who all bear strange ears (the women have tails too). Though these people venerate the forces of nature, desecration of an alter forces them to take drastic measures to preserve their lives from the wrath of Mutikapa-sama, guardian of the forest.

Review
In general it's a good anime, but it kinda different with the visual novel version, they make many changes, and also they change the ending a little(the oboro scene), and also they remove many funny skit from the visual novel, at first i thought they never gonna add that funny skit, but after googling for a while i realize that they separate it with the anime, and just like the reguler anime, they launched the OVA too...
so far, there are three ova. here is the detailed review

Artwork
just like the visual novel one, the artwork is great, and also the animation is kinda good, they often use some "computerize animation" on the soldier scene or arrow scene, it ok though that didn't reduce the quality of the anime. one thing i hate is blood scene, this anime contain a lot of it...but so far that's the only thing i hate in this anime...

Storyline
The storyline is basically the same with the visual novel one which is AWESOME!!!!
i really love the storyline, but yeah in the anime version they do make many change... lets take an example
in the vn hakuoro spent "Quality time" with karura and the other girls ,but in the anime hakuoro didn't do it (maybe they remove it due to the television version), and when the touka scene where she accidently destroy the bridge and captured, it's not like that in the anime version...despite that the main plot of the story didn't change at all... and still awesome

Character
I'm kinda dissapointed on the anime version coz the character personality didn't exposed really well,
what i meant is Touka supposed to be a clumsy one, but in the anime version we didn't get any scene where she show her clumsyness(except on the OVA and DVD special), and the same thing happen to the other character..

Seiyuu
well about the seiyuu, if i'm not mistaken i think the seiyuu being used in the VN is the same with the anime version, coz i found hakuoro voice kinda simillar, but i don't know for sure.. at some scene i found that the dubbing is to plain, while the animation is "roaring"...

it's a great anime indeed, but i recommend you to watch it, but if you prefer the complete, clear, and best one, i recommend you to play the visual novel version,
