The Volkswagen Passat was introduced in 1973 in Germany as a family car. Passat has a tradition of as old as 6 ancestors as a European family car.

DRIVING

The new Volkswagen Passat has a 140bhp 4 cylinder 1968cc diesel pump deuce engine. It takes just 9.8s to reach 100km/hr. The tank capacity is 70litres. Top speed is 206km/hr. 6 speed automatic DSG gearbox has sports mode and manual triptronic option. The Electronic Stability Program(ESP) has differentail lock, traction control facility and ABS.
